Over the weekend, I had a work retreat at Bear Lake. Saturday was a day packed with snowmobiling, which I had never done before. It was a blast! We woke up early and trekked through the trees, up the slopes, and to the tops of peaks. It was such a blast to be able to venture from mountain to mountain so quickly and easily.
Later that afternoon, I went out for a second trek. My snowmobile was running low on gas as we climbed higher and higher. Then all of a sudden, Jon, who brought his own snowmobiles, broke down at the top of a ridge. His drive train shot out the side of his sled.
Eventually, he got towed back down to the bottom and everything ended up working out okay, except for that sled, I expect. It was a really fun day for us all, though. I would do that again in a heartbeat. Maybe I’ll bring my snowboard next time.
